70 Years of Cracking Good Times

Welcome to Mr. Bill's Terrace Inn (BTI), a family-owned and operated business that has been a staple in our community for 70 years. Our story begins in 1954 when our founder, Mr. Bill Eliades, moved to the United States from Greece. With a passion for hospitality and a strong work ethic, Mr. Bill opened up a neighborhood tavern known as "Mr. Bill's."

The tavern quickly became a local favorite, known for its friendly atmosphere and delicious drinks. It was also a hub for the community, where many local businesses would come to cash their checks or play a round of shuffleboard or darts. But it wasn't until 1989 that Mr. Bill's son, Steve, had the idea of transforming the tavern into a crab house.

Steve turned Mr. Bill's into a full-service seafood restaurant, offering fresh and flavorful crabs as the main attraction. But what truly set us apart was Steve's patented crab seasoning, which became an instant hit and is still used in our dishes to this day.

But it wasn't just the delicious food that kept our customers coming back. Mr. Bill himself was a beloved figure in the community, often seen at the door greeting every person that walked in. He took the time to remember everyone's name and even had an intercom system to shout out friendly hellos to his regulars. It was this personal touch that made Mr. Bill's a truly special place.

Today, Mr. Bill and Steve’s legacies lives on through Steve’s daughter, April, and son-in-law, Ricky. They have continued to run the bar and restaurant, keeping his memory alive with every crab cake and BTI chip served. We've even expanded our reach by bringing our famous BTI chips to households and local stadiums, including Camden Yards and the University of Maryland.

At BTI, we are more than just a bar and restaurant – we are a family. And as we continue to serve our community with delicious food and warm hospitality, we honor the vision and hard work of Bill and Steve Eliades.
